Save Class branch
Once you lock a particular class, you can then upload or save that entire branch either to a local or LAN folder – or it can be saved to the Internet.
In order to successfully do this; you need to have the attribute field called “COLLABFOLDER” under Project Properties in this TAD model.
It detects where to save based on the following rules:
- If the second character is “:” Then it means you want to save it somewhere locally or on a LAN folder which has been mapped to a drive. That means the COLLABFOLDER is the absolute path of the folder where the data would be saved
- If the above rule is not satisfied; it will attempt to save the data on the Internet. A special code will need to be given by you for the 'COLLABFOLDER' field value. You can get such a code by visiting https://tad.in.net/collab
IMPORTANT: Note that TAD only saves locked branches; provided that the class is directly under Project AND it does not directly have objects of its own; but can have sub-classes that were created in earlier locked sessions.
Saving (and merging) of such class branch is a powerful mechanism for collaborating on a project. We have a detailed explanation on collaboration
