The main settings for TAD is here. Refer the labels and read the help for each one below.
Usually, the architect is dragged along with the object being dragged. Mark this checkbox if you don't want that to happen.
Mark this to get a grid. This grid will be as per the current step-size of the architect.
If this is marked, then object name and vertex (corner) no will be displayed
Do not give mouse wheel warning
Prevent pop up saying “No Models are open” for certain automations that require a model to be present (Useful in automations)
On marking this, any TAD model that is opened is zoomed to full extents.
Paint the Objects, Class and Information and other panes (other than Class properties pane) to the one given by the background color
Marking this will not make system beeps audible. This can affect ALL your programs currently running along with TAD. You may not get beeps from there too.
Normally help is loaded via a special help program. If you are running in a non-Windows environment, that help may fail. In such a case, you may want the help to be seen in regular browser
If you do not want to short pithy help line below each UI element, mark this checkbox
If you select a line width more than 0; TAD will show anti-aliased line. It can help on some monitors
You can choose the browser that you want to use for displaying help (Works along with the “Load Help … in regular browser” checkbox
Sometimes you may want to have bigger helper size. Control that here (Useful on touch screens)
Select the frequency of beeps (if you are musically inclined)
The default angle that is used when using mouse-drag to do rotations
Change the background color to be used
Change the color you want for the Group chat feature
Right at the bottom of the screen (unlabeled in the above image) you will see a set of tabs. Each of those control a specific functionality in TAD. You open each of those tabs and press F1 to learn more about those functions.
