In some cases, Windows operating system may sound a beep. It is not coming from TAD but because of the way Windows operating system itself works. Many people may not like this behaviour – you can switch off Windows system beeps using this application settings.

Note that when TAD is running, and if this system beep is switched off; such beeps could be off even for other applications that happen to be open along with TAD!
