In some parts of TAD, we use a system of “tokens” to switch on some functionality. You can get all the tokens you need from https://tad.in.net/goodies Fill in the form and the token would be sent to you as a DM (Direct Message) by our bot tadmainbot into your teamTAD community Discord account.

Or, if you had our older Mattermost community account*(see note below), an email will be sent to you.

Copy the token you received it, and paste it into the appropriate place inside TAD (Usually, the Application settings dialog)

Note that the Mattermost based community will be switched off on Oct 31, 2020, so please switch to our Discord based teamTAD community. This is explained here

There are many nice functionality that gets activated due to this system.

For example; The export to code is one of the most powerful feature of TAD. We doubt if there are other software of this nature that can export the data that it generates to be directly used in various programming languages. No more struggling with importing data files – everything is available directly within the programming language itself!

Why these tokens?
As you may already know, TAD is a freeware (soon to be open-source) We do not want to tax our direct users (i.e. architects and designers who use our software) This project hopes to make money from the secondary users (such as software developers, building material suppliers, contractors, etc) to fuel its ambitions of cohesively integrating architecture knowledge.

Donations are also welcome.

In order to use the a few critical features you are requested to get a permission token for this activity. As explained earlier; that can be obtained in seconds from here https://tad.in.net/goodies

Please note that these token would be generated after it verifies that you are indeed a member of the teamTAD community. Please follow the instructions on that page carefully.

We are trying or level best to give these tokens free – but just in case our resources gets depleted; we may charge a nominal amount for the tokens that you use. By default, one token would allow you to use the respective capability for some minutes, but we can generate such tokens for larger time periods too – you can donate some money to us for longer duration tokens.
