Telemetry

For statistical and support purposes, the following telemetry techniques are implemented in TAD. Note that NO private information from your computer is ever used.

  1. When you use our Discord invite (https://tiny.cc/ttad) to get an account at our teamTAD community at Discord, our Robot (BOT) at Discord is notified of the new use. The BOT is called tadmainbot and will send you direct message, with some instructions about your username and your Discord ID. Neither the Discord ID nor your username are private: Everyone at Discord can access both your Discord username, the hash number after it (called discriminator by Discord) as well as the Discord ID (or sometimes called Discord Code) The Discord ID is simply an account number that the Discord system uses internally. It is NOT a password
  2. During installation, the installer will send a code to our BOT and it automatically sends an e-code as a direct message on your Discord account itself. While doing so, it also pings our support people with your IP address, and the Discord username that was used.
  3. Our support people; if they are online, may send you a personal message if they find that you are facing issues when installing our software. You can, of course, chose to ignore our help.
  4. When you run TAD Designer Lite; our support system gets a ping with your username and IP address – it is only for statistical purposes

All other connection from TAD Designer Lite to the Internet would be caused ONLY due to your explicit action. For example; help is delivered from this particular wiki website.
