Authentication

To use our software and several other utilities in this project; you need to have an account at our chat system.

When you had filled the registration form, an email was sent to you detailing the steps you need to take. The very first step that email gives you is an invitation link to get a membership at our chat system. You would need to register into that chat system. Once you register; an email would be sent to you for confirmation. You must confirm the chat account.

The confirmed credentials of the chat system are verified at the time of using TAD. Note that in TAD you have to use the email address that you had used in the chat system .

When TAD starts the very first time; if it would detect that your credentials have not yet been verified, you would get directed to this help page

Note
The same process of verifying your credentials would happen once every few weeks (approx once a month)

If you are ALREADY registered at our own TAD Community Chat
Note that you need to provide the email address and the password that you used for your account at the TAD Community chat. Some users tend to use the username they had chosen and that will not work

Another possibility: Did you change the password or you forgot it? In that case, use this link to reset your password https://chat.tad.in.net/reset_password

If nothing else works, email us at admin@teamtad.com and we will reset the password for you and email you. Kindly try all other options before sending us this email.

The following method to authenticate TAD is not yet active. Testing is going on
If you are registered at the externally hosted Zulip system for TAD
Provide the email address you used at Zulip. And , MOST importantly, in the field which asks for the password, provide the API Key that for your Zulip account. Do NOT give the password you used at Zulip. The API Key is available from your account settings at Zulip.
